SPECTATORS (ADULTS & CHILDREN)
As a spectator, you play a crucial role in creating a positive and encouraging atmosphere for all participants. By adhering to this Code of Conduct, you help ensure that the focus remains on the kids, sportsmanship, and fun.
1. Be a Positive Role Model
Show Respect: Treat all players, coaches, officials, and other spectators with respect, regardless of team affiliation.
Use Positive Language: Cheer for your team and applaud good plays from both sides. Avoid negative comments, booing, or heckling.
Stay in Your Lane: Refrain from yelling instructions or criticism to players, coaches, or officials. Let the coaches coach, the players play, and the officials officiate.
2. Respect the Game and Its Officials
Accept Decisions: Respect the decisions of game officials. They are volunteers doing their best to manage the game fairly.
No Confrontation: Do not engage in verbal or physical confrontation with officials, coaches, or other spectators. If you confront a player, spectator or officials you will be removed from the Building.
Know the Rules: Familiarize yourself with the basic rules of the game so you can appreciate the flow of play and the officials' calls.
3. Support the Players
Encourage Effort: Focus on the effort and improvement of all players, not just the score or winning.
Prioritize Fun: Remember that the game is for the kids. Help them enjoy the experience, learn, and grow as athletes and teammates.
Celebrate All: Be a good sport and congratulate the opposing team on a well-played game, win or lose.
4. Maintain a Safe Environment
No Disruptions: Do not enter the court, the bench area, or the official's table area at any time during the game unless instructed by a tournament official.
Be Mindful: Be aware of your surroundings and the actions of other spectators to ensure a safe environment for everyone.
Substance-Free: All tournament venues are drug, alcohol, and tobacco-free zones.

PLAYERS
As a player, your conduct on and off the court is a reflection of yourself, your teammates, and your team. This Code of Conduct is designed to help you be the best athlete and teammate you can be. PLAYERS THAT ARE NOT PLAYING IN THEIR CORRECT AGE/DIVISION WILL BE DISQUALIFIED AS WELL AS THE TEAM.
1. Practice Good Sportsmanship
Respect Everyone: Treat coaches, officials, teammates, opponents, and spectators with respect at all times.
Respect Decisions: Accept the decisions of officials and coaches gracefully. Do not argue, complain, or make disrespectful gestures.
Win and Lose with Class: Congratulate your opponents after a game, win or lose. Be humble in victory and gracious in defeat.
2. Play Fair and Safe
Know the Rules: Learn and play by the rules of basketball.
Control Your Actions: Play hard, but always play fair. Avoid aggressive or dangerous fouls.
Prioritize Safety: Never engage in behavior that could harm yourself or others, including fighting, pushing, or using foul language.
3. Be a Team Player
Listen and Learn: Pay attention to your coaches and teammates. Strive to improve your skills and work together as a team.
Encourage Your Teammates: Be a positive force on the court and on the bench. Support your teammates and celebrate their successes.
Show Commitment: Attend all practices and games on time. If you can't make it, let your coach know as soon as possible.
4. Take Pride in Yourself and Your Team
Work Hard: Always give your best effort in practice and in games.
Represent Well: Remember that you are representing your team, family, and community. Conduct yourself with integrity and character at all times.
Keep It Clean: Help keep the court and bench area clean after games and practices.
